I was a bit surprised with the price tag of the mineral water bottle in the room ($5.50), which I decided to stay away, and got one in the shopping mall nearby. Hotel restaurant is relatively expensive and servces (for american standards) very small portions. Fortunately I was traveling alone, as this traveler's room only had one (very comfortable) bed. It turned out to be fine, but was something of a surprise. The special rate I got was for a "traveler's room," which is a clever euphemism meaning that it was smaller and located next to the ice machine and the service elevator. the shower in my room wasn't great, it spurted water out. The pillows were, well, not to my liking, but certainly did not detract from our stay. The room had very good view of the Charles River, so I do not complain. I had a good deal for the week end, and found that the room was rather small (as American standard) and next to the elevator, but it was okay for me. Great location! - Good facilities, including inside pool and hot-tub. And we enjoyed the walk from the hotel to the Back Bay area, not too far at all for walking. Great location beside the river, across the street from the shopping mall, and near the subway station for getting to downtown. Nice location, close to Boston downtown and opposite an excellent mall. nice hotel, clear room overlooking the river. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and well appointed. Easy access, the view of charles river, super friendly staff, beautifulroom, really enjoyed my stay there and will visit you again as we returnto harvard u to visit our child, not the closest to the quad but wellworth the little extra distance. The staff was very nice and helpful in every way. Cab rides were very inexpensive to the city. all reviews » The entire place was nice and accessible to the city. the hotel was very clean and comfortable, the staff were very helpful and friendly i would definitly recommend it and i will use it next time i'm in Boston. It was still very convenient for sightseeing. We've stayed right in the city before and much preferred the Sonesta's location. The room was lovely and the location - perfect. Everything - the staff was helpful and pleasant.
